Quality education for Zambia based on Christian values

May 2026

Limapela Cedric’s

The school is in good heart with high levels of satisfaction amongst both parents and students. We are grateful to our hard-working teachers, who always need encouragement. Teaching is a demanding profession!

As the school is now expanding to full secondary, the Ministry of Education has given us a number of compliance directives over our facilities. Some of these appear to be high-handed, but we do accept that some of our facilities need to be expanded or improved. One way or the other, we will have to outlay considerable sums of money to comply.

Another need is to replace most of the hardware in our computer room, as it is past its ‘use-by’ date. The estimated cost is around $25,000. Please contact us if you would like to contribute to this.

Luyando

Luyando is also settled and is running smoothly. Head Teacher Franchessca Mumba is vigilant over the very vulnerable who come from quite dysfunctional homes, and who often don’t get enough to eat, or whose uniforms are in tatters.

The equivalent of NZ$ 42,640 has been set aside by the Give Hope Trust for improvements to the infrastructure. The school needs a new classroom block, the estimated cost of which would be around NZ$ 136,000.

I am booked to fly from Auckland on 3 June, and will be in Zambia until 11 August. Alison will remain in Auckland during this time.

Once again, our thanks to you all for your support, prayers and fellowship.
